Procedures We Perform
Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Laparoscopic Hysterectomy is a minimally invasive surgery used to remove the uterus. During this procedure, a small incision is made in the abdomen, and several instruments are inserted.
These instruments allow the surgeon to view and manipulate organs within the abdominal cavity. This procedure can treat various conditions, including fibroids, excessive bleeding, and even some forms of cancer.
Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy is a type of minimally invasive procedure used to examine and diagnose problems inside the uterus. It involves inserting a thin, lighted telescope-like instrument (known as a hysteroscope) through the vagina and cervix into the uterus. With this tool, doctors can view your uterine cavity and take samples if necessary.
This procedure is often recommended for women with abnormal bleeding or abdomen pain. It can help identify endometrial polyps, fibroids, scarring in the uterine lining (Asherman’s syndrome), or an intrauterine device that has migrated out of place.
Depending on what’s found during the exam, doctors may also be able to treat some of the issues discovered, such as removing polyps or correcting a displaced IUD.
Dilation and Curettage (D&C)
Dilation and Curettage (D&C) is a procedure that involves dilating the cervix and scraping away the lining of the uterus. It is primarily used to diagnose and treat abnormal uterine bleeding, remove tissue for testing, or treat certain types of cancer.
Pelvic Reconstruction
Pelvic reconstruction is a medical procedure used to repair damage or deformities in the pelvis. It can treat conditions like pelvic organ prolapse, hip fractures, tumor resection, and certain congenital anomalies.
In some cases, it may also be used for reconstructive purposes after trauma or surgery. The goal of pelvic reconstruction is to restore the natural anatomy of the pelvis and provide stability and support to the surrounding structures.
